On 25th June 2010 the largest GOLD coin in the world, a 2007 Canadian $1,000,000 Maple Leaf coin, has been sold at the largest auction house in continental Europe, the Dorotheum, for 4.05 million U.S. dollars. The largest gold coin weighs 100 kg (220 lb 7 oz), measures 50 cm (19.6 in) in diameter, 3 cm (1.1 in) in thickness and is made from bullion with a purity of 99.999 per cent.

After we can read ” ‘The Pentagon is spying on us,’ claims whistleblower website Wikileaks after leaking top secret documents“, WikiLeaks, a whistle blowing website run by The Sunshine Press, today fight back whit publishing a classified video they say was taken from a US Apache helicopter on July 2, 2007, in Baghdad, which shows the killing of civilians and Reuters news staff.

Iceland Volcano

Hundreds of people have been moved from their homes and a state of emergency declared after a volcano erupted in Iceland. The evacuation in the early hours of Sunday followed the eruption of a volcano beside the Eyjafjallajokull glacier, the country’s fifth largest. Three Red Cross centres were set up in the village of Hella for the 450 evacuees.
